GO WINGS!!

Memorial weekend came and went fast. Thomas took Tristen up north to his friends place and they both came home smelly and tired. They had a blast. Tristen actually made money by charging T's friends a quarter every time they swore. This is coming from a kid who thinks that shut up and stupid are bad words so I can only imagine what he heard up north. Lets hope his teacher doesn't call me and ask where he got his colorful vocabulary. I will completely blame Thomas, then find those potty mouth A-holes and kick some ass. kidding.
Tanner and I had a good time too. We went to the zoo on Saturday with Mandy, Lily and Taylor. And the Covatta's showed up for a while. It was packed and beautiful outside. My shoulders even got a little sun. And I guess after we had already left they were kicking people out because a Tiger took a bite out of one of the the trainers hand. Yikes.
Here is the classic and traditional picture next to the fountain. Throwing penny's was a highlight on this zoo trip. I thought the Zebra's doing it was funny but Tanner didn't care about that. We must have different sense of humors.
This one of him and Lily cracks me up. Even Lily thought Wow that's a big smile.
Then we went to my Dads on Sunday and watched as they put a Gazebo together. Tanner loved watching Papa drill bolts into the deck.

Then we went to Judy cottage and Aaron was making Polish horseshoes and Tanner again was all about watchin the guys making stuff. Such a boy.

Speaking/writing about Aaron, the biggest Wings fan I know. He hasn't shaved since the playoffs started and I barely recognized him. It looks good, but he doesn't look 22 anymore. I have the game on right now and the stupid Penguins have scored twice since I have gotten on the computer. Maybe that's a sign that I should go watch it. Damn. Ozzy was doin awesome too. And can I just say that I LOVE seeing Ozzy, Draper and McCarty all playing at the same time again. Just like the good ol' days. Only if Stevie was still out there, I might shed a tear. Or remember Probert- man he could fight. Actually the first game I ever went to I saw him kick someones ass. Then I decided that this was a sport I could love. Bob Probert, the guy who forgot it's against the law to take cocaine across the border to Canada. wonder what he's up to now.
OK so I just watched part of the game and the Wings scored so I feel that it is necessary to stop blogging and go cheer my team on. I mean if they lose, it could be completely MY fault for not paying attention. I couldn't live with that.
GO WINGS!!

How sweet it is to be loved by you

What a good Mothers Day I had. In fact I think it may the best one I have had yet. Started off with sleeping in, always a bonus. Then I had breakfast in bed, with a daisy on top of my food. Then I open the best present ever, a silver heart necklace that I will wear everyday. Lets see, then I took a nap, woke up, took a shower and my Mom picked me up and we went to Red Lobster. We thought since we went at 3:00 it wouldnt be that busy. Yeah right. It was packed with a 45 minute wait. And then, out of the blue 2 superhero's came to our rescue. My moms best friend Laurie and her husband Ken were there and they asked us to eat with them and we only had to wait like 10 to 15 minutes because they had already been there close to a half hour. It was great to catch up too. Laurie and my mom have been friends since we moved to Clawson 28 years ago. Holy crap that is crazy to think, 28 years ago. You can tell that they know each other so well too. I cant listen to Motown without thinking of Laurie and my mom dancing to it at our block parties. Laurie has a great sense of humor and always cracks me up with her one liners. I think it's also because you dont expect her to say the things she does and your shocked to hear it said from her. I love people like that.

Then I came home and Tristen made a present for me at school.......

If you cant read it, it says-
Tristen, why do you love your mom?
He said- Because she makes us good dinner and she helps me with my homework. She also protects me when Tanner hits me in the head.
I almost pee'd when I read the end. I can only imagine what his teacher thinks. I'm waiting for Social Services to make a visit. Actually his teacher is so great and is always pulling me aside and telling me the crazy things he says and does. He is pretty attached to her and he still wants to name the baby Prout Perry. This will be framed and kept forever. And later we will show Tanner how he tortured Tristen when he was only 2 years old. Thank Buddha that Tristen is old enough and smart enough not pounce on Tanner every time he throws a block at him or tackles him from behind. He is such a good big brother and Tanner also just adores Trist and mimics everything he does. He just also likes torture Tristen.

Then they do this...............

ohh my heart sank when I looked at them all cuddled up watching cartoons together on a Sunday morning. There is nothing that makes me melt faster then seeing how much they love each other how close they really are at the end of the day. or morning in this picture.

sooo yummy.

Thank you to the best husband ever for the best mothers day ever. You made up for the year that I got a 3 wick, dark green, pine scented candle that you bought at Gibraltar. Your my favorite. I dont know what I would do without you!

The newest member in 3D

This is by far 1 of the coolest things Ive ever done and seen.
I watched her move around and kick me and she stuck her tongue out and I even watched her blink, while in my belly. SO weird and very cool. I got a ton of still pictures and a CD that has all the video's on it. It was truly amazing and I want that job. The Ultrasound Tech is awesome and I told her I wanted her job, she didn't seem to be too threatened. She did say when she was preggo every time she was alone she would squirt that gel on her belly, turn some music on and watch her baby girl dance. I thought that was so sweet. Then she told me her daughters name and it's a name that I've been tossing around in my head. So now I think that was fate telling me what this baby wants her name to be.
we'll see.........

updates

So much has been going on, I cant keep up anymore. And as the saying goes, when it rains, it pours.

Bad news first, my Grandpa is very sick and had a triple bypass a week ago and is still in ICU recovering. It sucks and this poor family has been through a roller coaster of emotions in 2 weeks. I hate watching these people I love going through this heart wrenching time in our lives. Grandpa is someone who makes you feel like you have a special connection with him and he is always humming a tune. Thats a sign of a happy person. And watching him and my Grandma, you know this is true. They still laugh with each other, hold hands and split meals. They are each other's best friend and soul mate.
Keep Grandpa in your thoughts and prayers for me, he's a stubborn old guy and I know he can get through this.

Ohh that's right, I'm 30 weeks pregnant and we don't have anything else to do, what a good time to buy a house. Yup, we are and still in the process and still have allot to do but it is moving along so far so good. (knocking on every piece of wood I can find) I'm contemplating erasing that comment in fear that I just jinked myself. damn it. We put an offer in yesterday and now its the waiting game. My mind races at night thinking of all the things we have to do but I'm pretty stoked too. Change is good and we want to make sure to have it all settled before Trist starts 1st grade.

Tristen started soccer again and it's in full swing. He's so fun to watch and has become leader. He's also in a hip hop class that he takes with his buddy Zach. It's so great to watch your kid bust out moves to songs that I used to dance to at a club. Ohh and we cant forget football that his Dad has been waiting for his whole life to start. But we have to wait to see where we move to decide will Tristen be a Clawson Maverick or a Berkley Steeler?!

Lets see- I dropped my cell phone in a glass of Squirt and lost every phone # and pictures that I had for the last 2 years. That sucked. I did get a new phone that is cool but whatever, I want my pictures and #'s back. I urge you to get a copy once in a while or now you can sign up through Sprint and get all your contacts loaded on line as you add them to your phone. It's so annoying to go though this.

I've been pretty tired lately and as moody as one can get. (I'm sure Thomas can confirm that). I have heartburn daily- I still get sick in the morning, I pee allot and feel like I wattle already. And now I just stare at people when they make dumb ass comments, I am convinced that people are just not right in the head. But the baby is doing good- up to 3 pounds, and kicking a ton. I love that part and I'll miss it someday so I do try to soak it up now. I remind myself allot that this is the last time I will have this incredible miracle happen to me. Being pregnant is not easy, a man could never do it. Thomas gets weirded out just feeling my belly, he thinks an alien is gonna pop out. Tanner kisses my big Buddha belly and tries to but my belly button back in and Tristen is still wanting to name her Prout (after his favorite teacher).
These are the days to remember....

black eyed boy

Tuesday I got a call from Tristens school asking if I would come up there and take a look at his new black eye. He got it at recess playing FOOTBALL and he landed at the bottom of the pile with another kids grill on his forehead.

When I got to the school he was laying down in the office with the classic 1/2 melted ice in a baggie over his eye. It wasn't that black and blue yet but pretty swollen. He was so tough and with big tears in his eyes he said to me - mom just make sure to tell dad I didn't cry. Holy crap I almost cried (imagine that). Poor baby, I wanted to scoop him up like a baby and just kiss him. It looked like it hurt! But the girls in the office also made a big fuss over him and told him he won the "injury of the month" and then of course he felt better because he won something.

He is SO all boy and HELLO?! just like his daddy.

here's some snaps of the black eye-

and if there is a camera around Tanner wants in.

And I'm happy to report that people that were trying to make out with my belly, haven't bothered me that much lately. I mean I still cant walk into a room without some genius making a jackass comment but if they quit touching me, I might not invision karate chopping them in the gut.

I feel huge and I still have 3 months to go. I'm pretty tired allot, and I'm still nauseous but she is growing better and I get ultrasounds every month so thats always cool. I'm gonna get the 4d ultrasound too. Ive seen pictures before and it's soooo amazing. I figure this will be the last time I can do it so I'm in, insurance wont cover it but it's not too pricey. $85 and its for an hour- you get lots of pictures and they record it to a dvd for you. I'm excited. I wonder if I can figure out how to load it on a blog?! hmmmm, I'll try.

Here is the latest at 27 weeks.

Remember when

Remember when I was young and so were you
and time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried

Remember when

Remember when we vowed the vows
and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt

Remember when

Remember when old ones died
and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged
We came together, fell apart
And broke each other's hearts

Remember when

Remember when the sound of little feet was the music
We danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we'd never give it up

Remember when

Remember when thirty seemed so old
Now lookn' back it's just a steppin' stone
To where we are,Where we've been
Said we'd do it all again
Remember when

Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad, we'll be glad
For all the life we've had
And we'll remember when

~Alan Jackson
cc's sidenote-
you can tell I'm preggo with and altered personality because I cry every time I hear this COUNTRY song and I bought my husband cowboy boots for his birthday.
who am I?

D.I.A and White Castle contest

My Mom and I took the boys to the Detroit Institute of Art last weekend. As crazy as it is to go with a 2 year old, it went pretty good. I didnt get to snap too many pictures in fear that Tanner would find something to destroy but I got a few.
Tristen was our tour guide and he insisted he had been there and he knew the ropes. I will say that 95% of his performance was made up very well for a 6 year old!

The boys got to color with Grandma too. A special little room to let the kids be kids. (We hide in that room for a while)

These guys cracks me up so I had to put it up-
Some of the freaks in our Harness Department are very competitive and this time to prove how much of a man they are, they had a White Castle eating contest. A few weeks ago they had a buffalo wings eating contest but I didnt get to see that one.
Each of them had 30 hamburgers and 20 minutes. Who ever ate the most wins. They we teamed up Gary and Pat against Mike and Andy. I also have it on video and I'm gonna try to post it too. It was so awesome, Everyone stood around watching these guys slam burgers down and talking about how bad the bathroom is gonna stink the next day.
In the end, amazingly enough, it was declared a tie that will now force them to come up with a tie-breaker. I think each of them ate 16-18 but I didnt catch the total. All I know is I would have yakked after 5 or 6. maybe 6 or 7. I dont know and I'm not sure we will ever find that out.
But thumbs up- this was great entertainment- I'll be at the next competition.

Let's hear it for those hormones! woo hoo

I wish I didn't puke daily, I wish I could eat better (due to the fact of my first wish), I wish I wouldnt have gained road rage and cry at random songs or commercials, I wish I wasn't so tired all the time, I wish I wasn't so impatient with everything, I wish I could sleep for more than 4 hours w/o having to get up and pee, I wish there were better clothes that were actually comfortable without looking like sweat pants, and I wish people would stop touching my Buddha belly. My Aunt Nancy gave me some great advice, she told me to rub there belly right back. So I'm gonna and the next person that I don't want to touch me- I'm gonna rub the flab on there belly for as long as they rubbed mine. I think this may be the best idea I've heard yet. Thanks Aunt Nancy. They think its like a magnet that forces them grab and rub. One person I know actually gets behind me and wraps her arms around me to feel my belly. WTF is that?! I cant believe I didn't knock her out. And I'm not talking about my family or a friend that hasn't seen me in a while, I'm talking about people I see almost daily. Holy crap and the comments I get, lets see, I've heard "you know your face doesn't look as fat as it did with the boys." or "geez (pointing to my belly) your gonna need to work out" I also like "your so big for only being 6 months into it" another favorite "are there twins in that belly?"
Yes people, I have directly heard all of these lame ass comments.
And I don't have a face anymore. Everyone looks directly at my gut. I think I might start drawing faces on it and let them actually talk to the belly that has taken on it's own identity.
And did I mention my raging hormones?! If this doesn't spell it out for you, I'm not sure what to say. But because I know I'm temporally crazy (lets hope) I try to hold allot of horrible comments back and I have to say that my tongue is tore up. I bite it daily. And to think that I still have 15 weeks to go. I'm gonna have to drink from a straw by then, I wont have a tongue.
But I will say that writing it down somehow makes me feel like I exhaled after a great massage. So I win.
And someday soon I will look back at this blog as I hold my new baby and wish I could feel her kick inside me again. Because for every dumb ass comment that someone makes or for every morning when I puke, I would never take this experience away. I truly feel lucky to be a woman and get to go through this amazing process. I am at awe with how this all works and this is my 3rd time around. There are no words to explain what it feels like to have a miracle happening inside your body. I am very grateful that I can have all of "issues" there are women that would do anything to hear the words that I complain about. So don't get me wrong, I know what I have and I do think I am extremely blessed and lucky.
Lucky and crabby.

whew- that felt great :)

ketchup

Yikes- Time to catch up! Good thing I got a new camera that I'm kinda obsessed with, so I have allot of pictures. Lately I look like the paparazzi following everyone around so watch out, it's another phase.
So these are my lunch buddies Adrienne and Nathan. Nathan and I have a "special" friendship, I like to call him my little boyfriend. He gave me a Valentine card, he has even made me cookies before. We're pretty tight. I'm not saying the large French Fries I bring him every time isnt upping my chances of him liking me but whatever works. Adrienne still looks at me like hmmm, I know her but I dont KNOW her. I'm workin on that. When she smiles she crinkles up her nose-- adorable. and I think this child can do the splits, she's awesome. So thanks Lisa for lettin me hang with you and the babes at lunch- they are yummier than the Fries.

We went to the ST. PATTY'S Parade in Royal Oak for the first time. It was a great impulse decision. The kids needed to get out of the house and a parade was a great way to be able to scream and go crazy and NOT be in the house and have to hear it. And it was a great Parade too!
The bagpipers were first and I always put my sunglasses on when I hear that sound. I cry like a baby as soon as I hear them. Every time. Pregnant or not. That sound just takes me to a place that I love and makes me smile and cry every time. weird?! I'm ok with it. So hopefully you are too. or get over it.

Tristen had a blast and got SO much candy that I had to hide some and then eat it myself because I wouldn't want his teeth to rot. and I love Jolly Ranchers. Tanner had a good time crawling all over Thomas like curious George and danced everytime a band came by. That boy can groove. Actually all 3 of my T's can groove with the best of them. We have HOURS of them dancing on film. My family of entertainers.

Getting ready for that bunny and coloring some eggs. What a messy process this is but we didnt do to bad this year. Our hands are still discolored but worth it.
And look at this cheese ball smile. He is the most animated kid I know, cracks me up.
We went to Nancy's to celebrate a variety of things- 4 Birthdays, and Easter. The Bdays were (in order if pic) Jake, Uncle Dave, Jackson and Uncle Darrel. There ages add up to 114. YIKES.

Tanner played the piano ever so gently all night. (gentle my ass)
and here is a forced smile by Tristen and a GREAT pic of Jackman. He's so cute and he is one of those kids that you can already see what he will look like at 18 just by looking at him now. So handsome.

On Easter we went out to my dad's for Monsters annual egg hunt. The kids LOVE it. I swear it must take her hours to plan it all out. Each kid (this year 4) has there own trail that has eggs hidden with clues to the next egg and after 15 clues you end finding your basket next to the butterfly. My Dad took Tristen this year and I followed with my camera- they are so cute together. I just watch Tristen with him and he adores him as much as some other kid I used to know. Let's just say I know how Tristen feels, my dad has a great way of making each kid or in this case grandkid feel "special". And Trist just thinks his Papa Dear is the best.
Tanner also had his own path and Madison and Tristen helped him find his. (his clues were easier)
And this is my nephew Charlie- he didnt get a path this year. I think walking is a requirement but watch out for Charlie next year, he will be ready.
He is 8 almost 9 months old and he has such a great laugh and he is so happy. I got to snuggle with him and he is SUCH a love bug.
Wow, we have been busy and I feel like this isnt even half of it.
more soon!
