party of 5

TaDa
This may be the biggest announcement of 2007 for the Perry/Chambers Family.
After a couple Dr. visits, and a few worries that are ok now, we are pleased to announce that yes, we are expecting a baby in July 08. I am 11 weeks preggo and this can also be confirmed every morning about 6 am as I run to the bathroom and start my daily routine of yacking. I'm not a fan of the 1st trimester. I'm nauseated though out the whole pregnancy but the first trimester is so draining and pukey.
Ahhh, back to preggo mode. I always wanted 3 kids. But then we had Tanner and thought.......hmmm, lets wait. Well the wait is over. Around 7/16 we will be a party of 5. Honestly the thought of a baby in my arms makes me melt instantly. I had a hard time thinking that Tanner would be last baby I would have in my belly. There isn't anything more extreme than a new life brought into our world. That's my heart talking. Then my brain pipes in and says OHH MY GOD your gonna have 3 BABIES!!! I am a little scared and nervous but I was that way with Tristen and Tanner too. but I didn't have a 6 and a 2 year old then so what was I worried about?! now we are gonna have 3 kids under the age of 6!! YIKES.
Then I saw this~

My third baby, that with only a flicker in the middle of its developing body made me instantly a mom of 3 incredible little peanuts. I was star struck at first glance. It might be a long haul till July but I cant wait to see what the summer brings!
Thomas is thinking of opening a daycare, maybe next to a bar. kidding. He's excited and ready for his next player on his football team. Tristen saw this picture and said~ Um, can you go back to the Dr. to get a better picture taken?! This really isn't very good. and what is it?!~ and he wants another brother. Tanner doesn't know what's up and tried to draw on the picture. lol

ohh and before you start with the girl comments, look at our track record. Help us with boy names for pete's sake, that's what we're running out of!

Tanner Robert

2 years ago today this amazing new person came into our family and changed us forever. He entered this world ready to make his mark and has made this family so much more than I ever thought was possible. When I was pregnant with Tanner, I remember crying in poor Judy's office at least once a week. I was so nervous and scared that my relationship would change with Tristen because I wouldnt be able to spend as much time with him. Would he be mad at us for not being the one and only baby in our lives? I was nervous for change.

And what a change we had. Everything changed. We now had this amazing little baby that added so much to each of us and I cant imagine life before him. I feel like we must of been really bored before Tanner. I mean 1 kid?! Tristen was like our little side kick and tag along. 2 years ago today we started our production line.

Tristen and Tanner have an incredible bond, they have this certain laugh that they only do when they are together. It's a deep laugh and it makes you smile instantly. Tanner has made Thomas even more protective than he was with Tristen at 2. Makes sense, Tanner is much wilder. and I think Thomas thinks Tanner is gonna be the crazy one out of the two boys. again, makes sense. Those boys are so alike and yet very different. I wouldnt want it any other way.

To me Tanner brought something to our family that we didnt know was missing. He was our missing piece. He melts my heart with his expressions and can make me want to give him anything in the world to NOT look at me with that lower lip up and those sad puppy dog eyes. His pout face is killer. He also makes me look at things different. Tristens is SIX, and I wonder daily where 6 years went so I have really learned to soak it up as it's happening. Even in all the craziness I try to *hold on to these moments as they pass*

Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet Prince, you have made me such a happy mom.

Tristens before and after

LOOK at Tristens face!!! He was SOOO ready to get his brother off Santa's lap so he could get some time in w/o Tanner crying . Poor Tanner was so done with this strange man with a fuzzy beard. (it was real too)

Then the party started for Tristen. He told him what he wanted and that he was going to leave cookies and milk for him~ all the good stuff. Then on the way to the car he said he saw Santa's sled on top of the mall. Of course we saw it too. I love this stuff, watching his face as he talks to a "celebrity to a six year old" who holds the fate of the deciding factor if he has been good enough all year to get a present from Santa. so fun~so precious. Santa leaves 1 gift, unwrapped under the tree and the rest are from mom and dad. Thats what he did at my house when I was little too. It was great- Josh and I would wake up and some insane hour and run in the living room and go right to our unopened gift that was from Santa himself. and mom and dad could sleep a little longer because we were somewhat occupied for a minute. Maybe that is a good idea. Wouldn't work now though - maybe in a few more years. Yeah right, we're never sleepin in on Christmas, what fun would that be?!

turkey, baby girl showers and a CHRISTMAS parade

I think I actually crave blogging when I dont have time to do it. funny what you get used to in a short time. I used to write in a journal every night and sometimes I couldn't fall asleep unless I wrote or did "something" in it. It's awesome to go back and read what I thought was so important years ago. It was at the time I'm sure but damn, things change.

Lets see-Thanksgiving, we went to my Aunt Linda's and had a phat dinner. I could went back for thirds, she is a fantastic cook. I didnt get that gene. I dont think I have the patience to be a good cook. again, damn. maybe there is still time to be taught. Ya up for it Aunt Linda?!
I saw my cousin Cam who works so much that we rarely get to hang out with, that was cool. And I got to hang out with my other cousin Tim's future wife. Who I love and fits in good with all us freaks on the Page side. After dinner Thomas went home due to a wisdom tooth he had pulled the day before. ouch. And I took the boys to Aunt Judy's for some dessert. and entertainment for them at our expense. Tanner walks in that house and stands still for 30 seconds contemplating what he is going to get into first. And that child got into EVERYTHING that is breakable. He decapitated a poor wooden pilgrim by throwing it down the hall and as we are picking up that mess, he was standing on the chair at the dinner table stacking her CHINA one on top of another. I thought Jude was gonna have a heart attack. so we stayed for maybe a half hour and retired for the night. good turkey day though.
Then I went to a baby shower for my cousin Wade and Jizell. A GIRL baby shower. I love love love to buy baby girl clothes. So much more fun than boys stuff. I can say that since I have two boys. So if your having a girl and you invite me to your shower, expect only adorable clothes from me. You'll have to get the diaper genie from someone else.
The Berkley Christmas parade was Saturday. but maybe I shouldn't call it the CHRISTMAS parade. Maybe I should call it the Holiday parade that has that large man in a red suit in it. I wouldn't want to offend anyone by saying CHRISTMAS. (I'm a little bitter about the nativity scene) if you didn't catch on. anyhow- thats another blog. I think it was my favorite parade in a long time. Tristen had his buddy Jerry with him and to watch 2 six year old faces light up when Santa came down 12 mile was the coolest thing ever. I'm telling you, if I would have let them, they would of jumped on that float and escorted Santa to his chair personally. so cute. The parade started about 5:30 and got to us about 6ish~ with the tree lighting ceremony to follow. It started crazy snowing right before the parade, just in time to make it even more magical that it already was. A perfect CHRISTMAS parade.

sugar buzz

It's been crazy at this house the last few weeks. I now have a SIX YEAR OLD. feels strange. Tristen had a bowling birthday party with all his buddies. 3 hours of kayos filled with pizza presents and bowling balls. ohh and his teacher showed up. He loves Miss. Prout, all the kids do- you can tell when she walked up and they all attacked her for a hug. The kids were great and Tristen said it was his favorite party so far. We had the party on Sunday and Monday was his birthday so we did the cake thing (again) and took him to the R.O. animal shelter and he pick out a white cat named Crystal. He really loves her and she's great with the monster, I mean Tanner.

He is next in line. The day before Tristens party Tanner decided to climb over the couch and landed on the coffee table. HOLY CRAP, huge cut on his nose. Thank Buddha that we have a nurse down the street. She said to clean it, butterfly it up and watch it. Watch it, you cant help but to stare at it the poor baby. He is Rudolph the red nose toddler. It is healing good but it looks bad. So needless to say we pushed back family pictures till further notice. thanks Liz for understanding!

Then on Thursday morning my friend Jenny called me and her Mom, Sue Howard passed away that night after being sick for a few years. That was hard. Jenny moved back home and took care of her in the last couple months but I really didn't expect it to happen so soon. I was just over there last week and she was in great spirits. She new the time was coming but it didn't seem like it was that soon. She said some things to me that day that still cracks me up. She had a great sense of humor, just like Jenny does. I cant express how proud I am of Jen. She really stepped up and did everything and anything to make Sue comfortable and so loved. I cant imagine how hard it was but she did it flawless, without blinking, and made the best of the moment. I'll always look up to her for that.
I was in NY for work stuff on Thursday and came home on Saturday so I wasn't able to make the funeral. Sucks that I wasn't there for Jen on that day- I couldn't reschedule it though. Like I said, it sucks.
NY did go good, I am glad for that. My biggest customer is out there who I love and I only get to see them a few times a year. The drive through PA was beautiful, great colors and sweet hills. It made me want to stick my head out the window and yell out ~~~~The hills are alive, with the sound of muuuusic.~~~~~~ ahhh ahhh ahhhh ahhhhhh............ kiddin........ maybe. It snowed in NY- enough to stick and give me little taste what is to come. damn it. But the trip was good and Thomas had his hands full for a few days with the boys. Thomas is so good with them. I think they like there boys weekends sometimes. Tristen said to me ~Dad let ME have rootbeer when you were gone.~ and the Halloween candy is gone.
Can you say SUGAR BUZZ????!!!

Harmony and daisey's

To tell you what my Mom has done for me will never do justice to any words I can write in a blog.
I'm gonna try.

She is the reason I stay proud and hold my chin up high when times become rough. She gave me the wisdom to take care of my family. She taught me to find myself before I could give it away to someone else. She taught me to stand up for myself in a world that will eat you up inside if you dont stand strong. She keeps me humble and lifts me up when I feel like I could fall. She taught me how important it is to give back in your own way and not to expect anything in return but the feeling that your doing something good.

She has taught me to enjoy the little things that really count. To hold my kids hands for no reason and let them splash in the tub. To take walks in the leaves and play with them on the ground. She looks at my babies as if they are her own and she pretty much the only one that can yell at them without me budding in. She takes time to to all the extras that Grandma's usually do. But she does things for those boys that I cherish daily. Like going to every soccer game, even when it's at 10 am, in the rain, on her day off. Or making both boys hug and kiss her as SOON as they see her. and see her hold them as if they are Joshua or I.

She put her life on hold and worked 2 jobs to make ends meet and still spoiled us rotten at Christmas. I cant remember anything she missed and we were in a ton of things. Her world revolved around us and she is the most selfless person I've ever known.
She taught me about Karma and creativity. She gave me confidence to do new things and always work hard at anything I do. She is the kindest, most genuine woman I could ever have as a role model. I will always look up to her, my mom, my best friend.

She is my harmony and she is my daisy.

Stinky Dad Smell

Some Cider Mill pictures of us a couple weeks ago-
I love my little moneys hangin from a branch. Tristen did it first and as soon as Tanner saw that, he had to do it too!
Julie, Jenny, Jacob and Hayden the boys and I had a great time. Fed some sheep- one head butted Tanner- after we figured out if he was ok- it became funny. where is the video camera when I need it most, AMV baby.
Today at work there was a fire across the street and tons of cops and firefighters everywhere. Everyone was ok, we think and hope. There was a ton of smoke but not sure about how much damage it really did. But anyway, there is a certain smell that fire fighters have and that smell sticks on everything for days. My Dad was a firemen and my Mom used to make him strip his uniform off on the porch before he came in the house to take a much needed shower. I remember waking up knowing that there was a fire the that night and he was ok because he's home and it smells. So I walked outside at work today with complete craziness going on- smoke pounding out of a building - lights flashing everywhere - people running around like mad freaks and I have perma grin cuz I can smell that smell. My stinky dad smell. It's such a gross smell to most but it's so great to me. It hits home- and instantly makes me smile inside and out. then I get in my car to pick Tristen up from school and You gotta friend is on the radio. If there is 1 song ever made that reminds me of my dad its that song and most James Taylor for that matter. I can hear any song from JT and I get that lump in my throat and feel like my Dad is right ther making this better as he always does for me.
Weird, smells and songs do this to me...
I love that stuff. So today for me was think about Dad day. I tried to call him tonight to tell him that I dedicated a day to him- v/m. I'll call again tomorrow.

party party party

Keeping busy~

Tristen had a Halloween party last weekend equip with a hay ride and everything! Payton turned 6 and they were in the same class last year and still stay buddies. The weird thing is that Payton's mom, Melissa and I have been friends since we were little. Brownies to be exact. We lost touch for a while but that's whats cool about Clawson, you seem to pickup where you left off. They have a PHAT backyard and the kids had a blast. Today I took Tristen to the store with me and he saw a little girl there Hope, (I think) who was also at Paytons party and they were talking about the hayride STILL. Its weird to hear Tristen talkin with some chick about that WILD party last weekend. lol

This is Madison and Payton, the bday girl. wheres Emily?!

another small world example~ Madison is Payton's little sister. Madison, looks just like her Aunt Sarah. Sarah is Melissa's cousin. Sarah and I were Frick and Frack in Middle and High school. get it?! lots of ties that bind one big web.

good place to grow up.

Then on Friday night we were invited by the Lamberts to got to Greenfield Village to Trick or Treat. SO AWESOME. I completely recommend anyone to go. $10 a ticket- they go all out- they deck allot of the houses out and have people dressed up everywhere passing out treats. and not just suckers ~ this place was passin out Beanie Babies, chips and good chocolate. very cool- were going again next year!

a preview of whats to come on Halloween. Although Tristen will have worn his costume 5 times before it gets retired. 2 bday party's, GFV, school and Halloween.
good buy this year!

just a shot of Gene Simmons/Tristen and me.

and of course, Mouth.
still yummy.

Happy Halloween and be careful on Devils Night, the freaks come out and play!
including the Perry's and Chambers!

It's all about the weather

So I am a pretty frequent complainer about Michigan weather. I sometimes I wish I could load all my "must have people" in a bus and make them move out west with me. People are more friendly and in better moods, SUNSHINE, mountains, great scenery and I'm over snow. It's pretty on the first snowfall. Then after that, I could care less. and it's more annoying then anything. BUT ~props to MICHIGAN in the FALL~ it is so beautiful RIGHT NOW. I drove down Vinesetta after work and Tristen and I both were at awe of how awesome it looks. It's in the 70's and you can smell that crisp fresh air when you first walk outside. I love this season. I even love the thought of football in the Fall. Then right about the time it snows, I am ready to throw Thomas fantasy football crap in the toilet. Good God. He doesnt watch a whole game EVER. He has to channel surf to see what player did what. And because he is on so many leagues, sometimes his players are playing against each other. It's a full time job keeping up with that crap. Sorry sweetie if your reading this but you know it's true. :) We did go to the Lions game on Sunday vs Tampa Bay and I had a blast. First time too! I had no idea that people get so decked out for this. I mean downtown was crazy, (not to mention a marathon going on) I was really impressed! I do like Co America better though. Detroit should of spent the extra bucks to get a retractable dome on Ford field. Because like you read earlier, its all about the weather for me.
Tristen has a field trip tomorrow at the Apple Orchard. He's doing so good in school and his teacher is awesome. She's young, she is so sweet and really good with the kids. He is killing me lately with the words that come out of his 5 year soon to be 6 year old mouth. Complicated, appreciate, difficult situation. These are all words that he used in sentences and they made sense! He's getting too big and too smart. I love it but damn, slow down.
Tanner is one big ball of hair. He is SO fricken cute and he knows it. He flashes you this half grin and it forces you to stop what your doing, pick him up and instantly try to make him laugh. He chills with us on the couch and is so cuddly. Then 12 seconds after you think he is perfection he gets up and stands 2 inches in front of you and screams louder than any of the drunks at the Lions game. with a way higher pitch.
Ahh, I wouldnt have it anyother way. My perfect imperfect family! I can only imagine what they would write about me!
