party party party

Keeping busy~

Tristen had a Halloween party last weekend equip with a hay ride and everything! Payton turned 6 and they were in the same class last year and still stay buddies. The weird thing is that Payton's mom, Melissa and I have been friends since we were little. Brownies to be exact. We lost touch for a while but that's whats cool about Clawson, you seem to pickup where you left off. They have a PHAT backyard and the kids had a blast. Today I took Tristen to the store with me and he saw a little girl there Hope, (I think) who was also at Paytons party and they were talking about the hayride STILL. Its weird to hear Tristen talkin with some chick about that WILD party last weekend. lol

This is Madison and Payton, the bday girl. wheres Emily?!

another small world example~ Madison is Payton's little sister. Madison, looks just like her Aunt Sarah. Sarah is Melissa's cousin. Sarah and I were Frick and Frack in Middle and High school. get it?! lots of ties that bind one big web.

good place to grow up.

Then on Friday night we were invited by the Lamberts to got to Greenfield Village to Trick or Treat. SO AWESOME. I completely recommend anyone to go. $10 a ticket- they go all out- they deck allot of the houses out and have people dressed up everywhere passing out treats. and not just suckers ~ this place was passin out Beanie Babies, chips and good chocolate. very cool- were going again next year!

a preview of whats to come on Halloween. Although Tristen will have worn his costume 5 times before it gets retired. 2 bday party's, GFV, school and Halloween.
good buy this year!

just a shot of Gene Simmons/Tristen and me.

and of course, Mouth.
still yummy.

Happy Halloween and be careful on Devils Night, the freaks come out and play!
including the Perry's and Chambers!

It's all about the weather

So I am a pretty frequent complainer about Michigan weather. I sometimes I wish I could load all my "must have people" in a bus and make them move out west with me. People are more friendly and in better moods, SUNSHINE, mountains, great scenery and I'm over snow. It's pretty on the first snowfall. Then after that, I could care less. and it's more annoying then anything. BUT ~props to MICHIGAN in the FALL~ it is so beautiful RIGHT NOW. I drove down Vinesetta after work and Tristen and I both were at awe of how awesome it looks. It's in the 70's and you can smell that crisp fresh air when you first walk outside. I love this season. I even love the thought of football in the Fall. Then right about the time it snows, I am ready to throw Thomas fantasy football crap in the toilet. Good God. He doesnt watch a whole game EVER. He has to channel surf to see what player did what. And because he is on so many leagues, sometimes his players are playing against each other. It's a full time job keeping up with that crap. Sorry sweetie if your reading this but you know it's true. :) We did go to the Lions game on Sunday vs Tampa Bay and I had a blast. First time too! I had no idea that people get so decked out for this. I mean downtown was crazy, (not to mention a marathon going on) I was really impressed! I do like Co America better though. Detroit should of spent the extra bucks to get a retractable dome on Ford field. Because like you read earlier, its all about the weather for me.
Tristen has a field trip tomorrow at the Apple Orchard. He's doing so good in school and his teacher is awesome. She's young, she is so sweet and really good with the kids. He is killing me lately with the words that come out of his 5 year soon to be 6 year old mouth. Complicated, appreciate, difficult situation. These are all words that he used in sentences and they made sense! He's getting too big and too smart. I love it but damn, slow down.
Tanner is one big ball of hair. He is SO fricken cute and he knows it. He flashes you this half grin and it forces you to stop what your doing, pick him up and instantly try to make him laugh. He chills with us on the couch and is so cuddly. Then 12 seconds after you think he is perfection he gets up and stands 2 inches in front of you and screams louder than any of the drunks at the Lions game. with a way higher pitch.
Ahh, I wouldnt have it anyother way. My perfect imperfect family! I can only imagine what they would write about me!

something something something

I love little baby ducks -old pick up trucks- slow moving trains and rain. I love winners when they cry, losers when they try, something something somethin and something. and I love you too.
I cannot remember how the "something" part goes in this song. I think Mrs. Courtney in 3rd grade taught us that- I was singin it to Tanner and I cant remember it. Which isnt really a shock. If you know me well, you know that I like to make up my own words for songs if I cant tell what they are saying. I mean my version is usually pretty close but whatever, they should sing it so I can understand it. wow that comment makes me kinda old. I remember figuring out that I had a thing for music in Mrs.Courtney's class. She was an older woman that walked around saying ta ta tee tee ta. We had a talent show in 5th grade and Deena, mahoney and Tracy Demateia and I sang (britney spears style) to "we got the beat" go go's?! I wish I had that shit on tape. AFV bound for sure. But I remember thinking what a cool job it would be to get to teach and sing all day and get paid for it. I still think it would be cool. I miss singing. Its just that I'm overwhelmed with family, sports, work, ect.... that gettin a band together again would make things even more crazy. and karaoke is fun like twice a year. if that. Bands are a big commitment and any free time I have is usually filled with 2 monsters at my feet. and I do like it that way. maybe sometime later it will be a better thought. So till then my boys are my band and we'll sing songs that there momma cant remember all the words to.
