Tanner's 3!!!

Ohh my, so much to write about but right now but I have to tell the world that my baby boy is 3 years old. Look at this sweet face, he is simple adorable. This little man is such a character that 1 blog cannot do justice to his personality. He is such a monkey, he just adores his big brother and tries to do everything that Tristen is into.
When I was preggo with Tanner I remember spending alot of time in Judy's office crying about how can I possible love another baby as much as I love Tristen. I was worried it would take away from Tristen and I wouldn't be able to be the mom I wanted to be. Well saying I was wrong is such an understatement. Tanner made us a family and made all of our hearts double. Tanner made Tristen the best big brother and seeing those two turn into friends and not just brothers makes my heart even bigger.
When I showed Tanner his Birthday cake, he put his hands together like he was praying and with his big fat eyes wide open he said "Mom is that for meeeeeeee?!?!" OMG I was in heaven just looking at what an amazing and beautiful boy I was given just 3 short years ago.
Tanner gives us a run for our money. He is always on the go, he loves to get into everything and a mess usually follows him. It's funny because he likes to clean up but only on his terms. He has a little creative side to him, he loves to draw and paint and you can tell by the way he draws on walls. THIS is something we are forever trying to change. I should own stock in those erase sponge things that Mr.Clean makes. We go through allot.
I was concerned about his speech for awhile because he wasn't talking as much as Trist did at that age. But since Cassidy was born he has been talking so much better. And we realized that Tristen just talked pretty early and NEVER stopped. Between Thomas, Tristen and now Tanner, its amazing that Cassidy and I can ever get a word in.
I have to mention too that Thomas and I were looking at old picture of him and holy crap it is amazing how much Tanner looks like Thomas when he was little. I always thought Tristen looked just like Thomas but I will scan the pictures and post them. You would not believe how much they look alike. I wish Thomas mom was still here because I bet Thomas also gave her a run for her money. This apple certainly did not fall far from the Perry tree.

So Happy Birthday to my little Tannerman that has taught me so much in his 3 years of living. I will forever adore you and love you with everything I am.

HBD Tristen

7 Years ago today this little man entered my world and has made me the proudest mom ever. SEVEN YEARS! that is amazing to me. 7 years ago was the day I grew up. And I remember them taking Trist to get weighed minutes after he was born and the strangest emotions came over me. It was like a combo knowing that was the most amazing thing I had ever gone through and knowing my life will never be the same. He was too good to be true and although I had 9 months to grasp that I would be a mom, until the moment I saw him I was still just Carrie Chambers. Then suddenly I became someone different, and I felt myself change. Thats the only time I ever felt that way. He is my first baby, my life changing moment and I am so thankful for him. So thank you Tristen, thank you for giving me something that forever changed my world, my heart, and my soul.

Look at that cute butt! this picture also won 2nd place at the beautiful baby contest in Berkley in 02!

Garage Crawl 08

So my creative cousin Chels and her manbuddy JR came up with an idea to have our 1st Annual Garage Crawl. and OMG it was such a good time.
It started of at Chelsea's and every garage was themed, she made her garage tropical and gave the girls flowers and the boys got lays. Jungle Juice waiting to be drank and crab dip for your munchies. btw the crab dip rocked. There was a tailgating garage, a Mexican garage, a white trash and a white Christmas garage all decked out for the event. They also had a poker game, 5 bucks in and at each house you get a different card, best hand at the end of the night wins the pot. Poor JR had the job of finding the drunks at every house to get a new card and I'll just say next year I think that job will be handed off to someone else! Awesome idea and lots of work. those damn drunks.
We then left CT's garage and headed to our next stop about 3 blocks away. And I cant tell you how awesome it is to see 50-60 ADULTS walking down the street dragging coolers to the next destination.....
Some people couldn't keep there coolers under control,

Some people tried different methods that included rigging it up to the back of someones truck,

And one of us used there children's 4 wheeler to travel and her husbands installed a head light and some flags to make the journey safe..........

DeeAnn and Robin came,

Wade-O made an appearance,

CC and CT and Uncle Darrel's profile

And Thomas and his White Trash shirts that he forced Jude and Nancy to wear, JR was so excited to wear it and was given the opportunity to KEEP his shirt and will be wearing to all the functions he attends.

All and ALL it was a thumbs up time and we cant wait for next year!!!

Halloween is going to suck this year.....

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Holy YUM, Cassidy is my little beauty. This child can make me tear up in seconds. All my babies did, maybe its the hormones maybe its because I am such a lucky woman and I think of that daily.

I started back to work last week. Its bitter sweet because I do love my job and MOST of the people there but HELLO?! to leave her makes my drive to work a little more than heartbreaking. Tanner and Cassidy are with Thomas during the day, Trist and I get home around 3:30-4:00 depending how long he trades PokeMon cards with his buddies after school, then Thomas goes to work around 7:30 and its all me with all 3. I love that we are able to raise our kids without daycare, honestly who can afford 2 kids in daycare all week anyway?! good god its incredible and pretty much like paying another mortgage each month. Thomas is amazing with them and I couldn't ask for a better daddy for them but the chick in me would love the chance to be with them all day too. It is important to me to be an example to my boys and my especially to my daughter that a woman can do anything that a man can. And chicks should get paid like men too.
OBAMA RULES McCain Drools. (my little political plug)

I love this picture of Cassidy laying on my chest showing off my SWEET necklace that Jizell and Aunt Nancy got me for my birthday. I love it and wear it everyday. It has all three kids name on each little charm. Tristens has a peace sign Tanner has a sunrise and Cassidy has a flower. I have theories why they have a different symbol,Tristen did bring a kind of peace into my life and I think he will be my little liberal just like his mom. Tanner is my sunrise and each morning reveals a new day for me and Cassidy is the flower that decorates my world.
My sweetness is dreamin.......
Come ON, look at those cheeks and that little nose. I'm a tad bit obsessed.
Cant you blame me?!

The Office

the best show on TV starts up again tonight. O how I miss Jim and Pam's new relationship and witty comments. I missed Michael always trying to be so cool and be liked and even "that's what she said" comments every episode. I miss Dwight and his need to be Michael's favorite and how anal he is about everything. I miss Toby getting blown off and made fun of constantly. I miss Kevin being "special", I miss Angelia being so uptight, and of course Andy's anger issues and singing.

WOO HOO, cant wait!!

keep on keepin on

If I sit back and reflect on this crazy life, it baffles me the new phases that I go through. Tougher problems, bigger issues and more responsibility. Its weird for me to say out loud that I'm 34 and only 6 short years before I turn FORTY. But its stranger for me to face issues that seem so grown up. Within the week I have watch 2 people that I love battle addiction and face a lifetime of always having to watch every move that is front of them. I hate it, I hate not having some kind of control to help and I hate that I have to communicate from so far away. It scares me knowing that sometimes it doesn't matter how well they were brought up or how much you reach out to help people, its in there hands. So all I can do keep on keepin on and pray to whatever God that will listen and hope that things turn out better. I watch that show on Bravo called Intervention and I am always amazed how far people will go to get there fix it seems so far fetched and unreal. But when its in your face and its someone you love, its so real. It doesn't get more real than that. I'm sending positive thoughts that are full of encouragement and good vibes that they can overcome the cards that were dealt to them. I am thinking of them every step of the way.

RECAP

What a summer we had and its about to end. Tristen started school today and I am going back to work full time in a couple weeks. Its hard to believe its almost over although Tristen was SO ready to go back and start first grade. He was so ready that he woke up at 6am today wanting to eat and pack his backpack. OMG lets see if that enthusiasm that he has is still waking up that early when he is a teenager!
So I'll recap what the Chambers/Perry's did this summer-

We had a baby, our precious Cassidy came to us on June 25th~

My Grandpa passed away on June 4th and is missed so much. Grandma is doing ok but pretty lonely without her soulmate. This is a picture of Grandpa holding Trey and Grandma holding Tanner when they were only a few weeks old at Christmas 05.

We went to the beach a bunch of times. We go to Spencer which is John R and South Blvd in Rochester Hills. We love it there, so clean and fenced off for the little ones and an awesome playground too.
Grandma would kill me if this picture was bigger! But thanks for going with us because you made it actually relaxing for me!

Lots of swimming in the backyard and went through 2 pools. boys....

Saw my favorite band and partied with Chels, my favorite concert partner.

We went to the Irish Hill over Labor Day weekend and had a blast. I hadn't been before but Thomas mom used to take them when they were little. The boys loved it we went on a Mystery Hill tour that almost made me puke. It was so weird I don't even want to try to explain it because it made no sense and I hate things that I don't understand. We went on Go Karts and Tristen got to ride by himself, he was so proud too. So was I. He's very cautious and took it easy till he got the hang of it, then watch out cuz that child was cruzin.

The boys, my friend DeeAnn and I went to see the Stanley Cup! so cool.
Cassidy met her new friends and cousins, Claudia, Stella and Delilah.

And Thomas learned that he will never leave the house wearing shorts and cowboy boots. wtf?!
